But it wasn't until Kim Kardashian saw photos of herself in a garish yellow jacket on Monday that she finally conceded she had won a place on the worst dressed list.
Taking to her blog in an entry entitled Fashion Faux Pas, the star wrote: 'You definitely need to be taller and thinner to pull this jacket style off!'
The 31-year-old reality star insisted she had the best of intentions when she stepped out in the unsightly frock, paired with a leather mini-skirt and black cut-out stilettos.
Still, she was compelled to admit, 'the mirror was lying to me this day!'

Kim candidly addressed the issue: 'Ok, ok, I am putting myself on the worst dress list for this outfit!
'I wanted a little color while I’m living in Miami, so my intentions were good, but the cut isn’t for me!
'You definitely need to be taller and thinner to pull this jacket style off!'
The curvy star managed to take the style misstep in stride, and insisted everyone should expect to miss the mark at some point or another.
'Fashion is all about experimenting to try and find your style and you have some hits and misses along the way,' she wrote.
'The mirror was lying to me this day! Where were my sisters or my boyfriend when I needed a good opinion?! LOL'
Her self-confidence seemed to have soared overnight, however.

Her rapper boyfriend is said to be happy with her new shape and he has been encouraging her to diet less.

With Kanye having a healthy appetite for food, his relaxed attitude has rubbed off on Kim too.
A friend told heat: 'She's normally ruthless when it comes to diet and exercise, but since she met Kanye her discipline has gone out the window.'
The fact that Kim makes a living by posing in her swimwear means that even with Kanye's support, she is still a little self-conscious about her weight gain.
She said earlier this month: 'I'm hoping to slim down a little bit, and I'm not afraid to say it.
'I think everyone goes up and down in whatever that comfortable love-relationship phase is, where you like to eat out, but now it's time to get it together again.'

He is also, according to several sources including Life and Style magazine, planning to file acomplaint against Kim's mother, Kris Jenner.

Humphries is also said to have petitioned to have his Minnesota-licensed attorney practice in California, so appears to be bringing the battle to her doorstep.

So who could blame the brunette for wanting to get away for a bit?

And that's exactly what she did with best friend Jonathan Cheban a few days ago.

The pair headed off to Miami for some rest and relaxation.

And if Kim looked pensive, even haunted at times, she made up for it by sizzling in a selection of simple and beautifully flattering bikinis.

She seemed happy to be spotted in tasteful swimwear but according to Life and Style, Kim is devastated that by not settling out of court, Kris has opened their divorce up to the cameras.

California allows filming as part of an open policy on popular cases.

A source told the magazine: 'Kim's freaking out, she has no interest in dragging out the divorce or having it play out on TV.

'Believe or not she's a private person.'

'All of her dirty laundry will be aired, and there is a lot to air,' the mole continued.

Kris wants to prove that Kim never intended to marry him and therefore committed fraud.

Jonathan may have to testify in court, he revealed: 'I hope it doesn't come down to that but I'll do what I need to do.'
